Meet Dr. Shane D. Draper, D.P.M.

Dr. Draper grew up in Payson and Delta, Utah. He graduated with a degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While at Brigham Young University, Dr. Draper published research on using bicycles to solve commuting issues in large cities. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1997 from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California. While attending the California College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Draper researched making a more accurate measurement for bunion surgery. 

This research is now being utilized at the Midwestern University of Podiatric Medicine and is pending publication. He later did a 3 year Podiatric Surgical Residency at the Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. He served as Chief Podiatric Surgical Resident. He also had research published on injuries inside the ankle joint called talar dome lesions. This research was published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, 2000; 39:15-23. “Autogenous Bone Grating for Treatment of Talar Dome Lesions”. Upon Completion of his residency, Dr. Draper was recruited to relocate to Elko Nevada by Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital.

Dr. Draper has been practicing Podiatric Medicine in Northeastern Nevada since the year 2000. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Learn more at www.abps.org. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has served as Chief of Surgery at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital. He has also served on the medical executive committee, utilization management committee and credentials committee at the Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital.

He served on the Great Basin Surgical Center quality assurance committee. In January of 2006, Dr. Draper was involved in an accident and suffered a T8 incomplete spinal cord injury. He has now recovered to the point that he can walk again. He gives much credit to Neurowrox (a spinal cord injury rehabilitation facility in Salt Lake City) for his ability to walk. Dr. Draper’s office also regularly donates to the following organizations: Joshua Tree Homeless Shelter, The Igloo, Spring Creek High School, Elko High School, HOSA, Elko Velo Cycling Club, Wells JH/HS Rodeo, National Honors Society, FBLA, FFA, The Dance Club and AYSO. Dr. Draper lives in Spring Creek, Nevada. He is married and has 3 sons. He is active in his community and supports athletic programs in both Spring Creek and Elko Nevada. He enjoys the outdoors that Northeastern Nevada region offers. He continues to enjoy off-road riding, hunting, camping and boating.

 

Meet Dr. Quinn D. Lindstrom, D.P.M.

Dr. Lindstrom graduated with a degree in microbiology from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah in 2007 where he was a Presidential Merit Scholar. He then graduated from Des Moines University – College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa in 2011. He completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he served as Chief Podiatric Resident.

Meet Sue Windous, FNP-BC

Sue Windous graduated from Northern Nevada Community College, now known as GBC, in 1989 with an Associate degree in Nursing. In 2003 she graduated on the Dean’s list from UNLV with a Bachelor of Science, in Nursing. For over 30 years Sue worked as a nurse in this community in several different capacities. Her experience ranges from school nursing to emergency, critical care, and flight nursing. In 2020 Sue graduated from UNLV with a Master’s of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner and soon thereafter became board certified. She now serves her community in a slightly different capacity providing family practice care along with specializing in podiatry. Sue brings a load of life experience as well as love for the community to her practice as a nurse practitioner.

In his free time, Dr. Lindstrom enjoys reading, traveling, participating in sports, and spending time with family especially his son, Cameron.

Dr. Lindstrom enjoys making his home in the Northeastern Nevada area and is happy to see patients of all ages.
